If my local fuel was that bad Id blend with toluene or some other octane booster like klotz. My local 93 AKI is pretty good. I'm able to run ~24 degrees timing up top (with no FLKC) and hit MBT through the midrange. E85 can run that up top you can actually go past 30 which is usually too much.
With the turbo now the most I can run on 93 is about 14 degrees to be conservative...
