I remember when speedfactory started to get too big and customer service went down a year or two ago. These small business' gotta realize that once they get to a certain point where they cant do the work and run the business side of things efficiently AT THE SAME TIME, they have to suck it up, and hire additional employees. Simple business economics.
What matters is in the end hopefully everyone involved feels like the issue was resolved.

I'm not defending anyone, but the points you've raised are not always apparent until the damage has already been done. Hiring and training employees is a huge time sucker and that's where the trap begins.
As a business grows things like this can happen multiple times. Balancing the growth of a business is one of the hardest parts of owning and managing it.
It's far from simple...
