Also, thanks for the tip about it being upright. I'm concerned about that. The 34 page user manual says nothing about this, although now that I search "upright mounting" I see other people say the same thing. I'm going to be pissed if mine doesn't register because of this, as I followed the directions it came with. I don't really have any time left to change it before my first event.
