You have no clue what I was talking about as you were not born for about twenty years after the era I was referring to. I wasn't comparing the old cars to modern cars. My references to Next were 1970s comments between the V8 and Japanese car crowds. There WERE no precision instruments (at least none the average person could afford). The guys that lived it understood what I was saying here but somehow you managed to twist it around to an insult against modern cars.

Oh and the "Starter motor" statement was how we implied that the import engines had the same power as our V8 starter motors back in the 70s. Which in most cases then was true.

I have own 14 Japanese cars and 0 muscle cars since 1991 so you don't have to convince me of which is better in the long run.
