I don't think anyone is going to give you any crap over those things at a National Tour (I know I wouldn't). I did not have any of that stuff in at Spring Nats last year and placed ok...nobody cared. We did talk about it with a few other guys in the class though, and agreed it was probably a good idea to put that stuff back in for Solo Nats, just to be safe.
Now, at least it is clear cut in the rules. But, I wouldn't expect anyone to go throwing protests around...there is really no drama except what is conjured up on these forums sometimes.
