A bad battery WILL NOT cause the car to stall out. That's an alternator issue all day.

I see it at work sometimes. Someone gets an alternator but keeps the bad battery. they kill the new alternator, get a battery thinking "It can't be the new battery!" and end killing both it's a bad cycle. Just replace both and save yourself money and time.
