Yeah, I've noticed that too. Not that I'm anywhere near ready, but even just transitioning my foot from brake to gas or vice versa they're noticeably not as even/lined up as I'm used to from driving other cars.
The weird thing is I thought I saw someone on here say the reason is for better heel-toe'ing, since you'd probably blip the accelerator once you are already pressing the brake. I could be wrong though.

I think it's more for safety reasons of not accidentally hitting both brakes and gas at the same time with the same foot.
