Everything I've heard is that this car is going to be a reasonably practical and affordable sports car. If this car really is that small I can't see it having back seats that are worth anything other than an insurance discount. I fully expected this car to have back seats something like a first gen Supra which my brother and I were able to uncomfortably fit in until we were in our teens.
I guess I don't see a point in a car that has 2/3 the performance of a 370Z for 2/3 the price. People who can afford to buy a completely impractical car that only holds 2 people can afford a 370Z or used Elise, etc. I was hoping for a car that would seat 4 (for short trips) and have performance that at least comes close that of a Z. If you are going to make a car for this market segment then you need to go all in. Just look at the RX-8 and how well that car has sold (dismally).

I dont see how a car that hasn't hit production can be scaled at 2/3 the performance of the 370z... but if there was a turbo version that was say 250hpish and given the weight stays around 2700 then the ft86 will have a pretty damn close hp/weight which should let it surprises a few cars.
either way there no point to make assumptions of how the car will be like until there is something to base them off of like shoots of the inside cabin
