Those new Hyundai Genesis luxury cars have atrocious panel gaps too from what I saw at the autoshow.

They know vintage quality things are falling apart with age, and that the new things are made like crap, pick your poison or go custom.
I remember wayyyy back in the day when I was like 18 and was into car audio. I had one 10" woofer that could rattle the roof on dunkin donuts without rattling my car. People would be amazed. I didn't do anything special, just did it right. Thick gauge wiring, capacitor for stability, crisp clear tweeters inside, appropriate amperage, a quality head unit, dynomat. It wasn't rocket science just a little attention to detail. Meanwhile dudes be having 2 giant ass speakers that sound like shit cause they don't hit right, everything rattles, and their electrical system is on overload.
