Looks like a damn good hood though, has my attention more than any other aftermarket one I've seen so far. Actually functional and not too gaudy (I'd definitely have it paint matched to OEM, with some bits like the scoop/ducts left in CF).

I wouldn't worry about that. I'd be more concerned about water dripping onto a hot turbocharger, or header.
A few well placed heat shields can mitigate that, as can just taping over the vent.
