My first fun car was an 89 CR-X DX with a 5pd. Dog slow, but I lowered it and slapped on a set of bronze 5zigen wheels and a SiR wing... Loved that car, learned to drive stick on it and generally beat it to death constantly. Sold it with 240k on the clock and it still ran great, no idea how it survived me.

Next was a 90 CR-X si in Barbados yellow... Y49. Bought it with a lunched trans and swapped in a hybrid with a zc 1-4, stock 5th and stock fd. Much quicker than the DX, but still slow. Still drove it like a knob constantly. Sold that one with 225 on the clock, no idea how that one survived either. One of very few cars I regretted selling.

3rd one was my '00 Miata... Holy crap, rwd. Total revelation. Still slow, but I could go slowly *sideways*. Stock with a roll bar and a sparco sprint seat. Had way too much fun with that car.

Sold it because I needed the money and bought a $700 '90 Miata. Beat that poor thing like it owed me money and did all kinds of crap to it. Frankenstein'd a motor together from 3 donors, lame Rust-Oleum roller paint job, ripped out the soft top... Spent damn near all of my time on that damn thing. Did my 1st auto x with it. Amazing car, but a major pita to keep running and just beat to hell.

Sold that one after i bought my dad's '98 m roadster. Didn't actually want the thing, I was looking for an e39 m5 at the time, but he kept offering it for cheaper and cheaper until I couldn't say no. Loved it. Way more comfort, way more power, and not a total eyesore. Had some quirks, and I always felt like I could hurt it if I beat on it like the miatas, but it never let me down. Sold it to my father in law, he had fallen in love with it when I started dating his daughter.

After a couple years without one I started missing a sporty car. After a bit of searching I picked up a nice '00 prelude 5spd... Boooooring. Nice enough car, good motor, totally uninspiring.

The trans took a dump in prelude and it pissed me off so I started looking at new stuff. Found that I could get a decent deal on a brz, and a local dealer had a limited in stock in the right color with the right trans so here I am. Pretty sure the BRZ is the best of them, not sure I like it better than my POS old Miata, but it's probably as close as I'm going to get in new car.
