I'm planning on buying a new FA20 and swapping it in, but I'm scared something bad will happen again and I will be all out of money. I love the car and it only has 30k miles. This seems like a weird failure and was probably do to the shitty past owner. When reading I see people have very reliable cars with this kit as a daily. Do you guys think I have anything to worry about after swapping a new motor? And do you think there could be any more damage further down the drive train due to the failure and previous owner?
Does the motor have other issues? We've seen 1 rocker ejected with seemingly no cause (likely valve float), but we've seen about 5 other motors where the rockers were ejected from a piston-valve contact.

Otherwise if you don't have enough cash for a backup plan, FI is probalby not something you should be pursuing. While these cars are by far the best bang for the buck when you add FI to them, there is always a greater risk of engine failure with boost.
