If your struggling to afford the car then you cant afford it. Buying the car is the cheap/easy part. Driving/maintain the vehicle is where the money comes in. If you cant afford the car payment then another half a payment or so each month then you really can't safely afford the car. Sure you can take the gamble that nothing will go wrong but inevitably something will and you don't want to have to park the car for a few months to be able to afford to fix it or worse yet take out another loan to fix it. Trust me I've been there and it sucked. These cars are not going anywhere so keep saving!
