I'll link you some pictures of a 18x8.75 +35 Setup with 245 tires so you can see what I mean. Your setup, being a +33, will stick out 2mm more than this

Also, tires are 245/35/18 not 245/40/18 (unless you want to offset your speedo and "lift" your car because the diameter is to big)

Correct, the car should definitely be lowered. At least consider replacing springs with a 1" drop if on a budget.
