They are not even remotely close to what the cops use.
They literally run off of radar measurements, the same exact stuff that is used in radar guns? It's literally just a radar gun in a sign. And as I said, accurate or not, it IS the number the cops will get, which I believe is accurate, but whether it is or not, it's the number the cops will get so it's the number I'll adjust to.

Also, a quick Google search on radar speed signs gives a lot of testaments to them being pretty accurate, much more accurate than a dial on a car that's measuring drivetrain rotation, and it'll only be accurate if you have the appropriate tire size to correctly match the drivetrain rotation being measured.
