Update Final Pt 2:
Had an amusing conversation with the insurance company today. Since the car was under 100,000 miles it qualified for a review for Diminished Value. I thought, OK I'll play. Completed the form, submitted it and on Saturday received my diminished value pay out for $3.54!
I think I might buy the car an air freshener with my vast gains!
