Potential 86 New Owner - Pricing/Negotiating Qs

Hi folks,

Long long time lurker, 2nd-time(?) poster, and after years of following the car from it's concept days, I'm finally looking to join your fine ranks as a 86 owner.

I'm now in the market for a 2017 86 (white/manual) and have started the email 'give me a quote please' tango with a few dealers in my region (Seattle/Portland) to negotiate the best possible deal. This is after having test driven one last weekend and sitting through ~2hrs of some high pressure sales tactics, which I happily walked away from.

Did some browsing some of the ol' "how much did you pay" threads for some anecdotal numbers, but haven't seen a recent one pop-up and was hoping for a little input on realistic targets to hit to make me finally pull the trigger.

I've used resources like truecar, costco and such, to get a rough idea of where dealer invoice sits, but who knows how accurate that really is.

I'm aware there are several factors in play (region, timing, inventory, etc) but would you say that a ~$23-24k sale price is attainable?

Thanks in advance for the input

Cheers
