I have a friend that just bought a Scion and he told me how it worked, they picked their car and added everything they wanted and got it installed; I dont know for sure but I'm guessing other dealerships don't have options like that to be installed aside from simple small things like ash trays, mudflaps, roof racks, bumper guards etc...

most dealers will install any "manufacturer aftermarket" parts for you at time of purchase. for example, in the current corolla, you can get a TRD lsd, TRD clutch, TRD suspension, etc... all dealer installed. all they need to do is order the parts and have their techs install the stuff.

- Basic stereo w/ 2 speakers

- non electric locks (it's seriously no that hard to reach across in a 2dr)
- no cruise control
- no moonroof
- no power seats
- smallest alloy wheels you can fit (I'm guessing 16 or 17")--gonna be getting new wheels anyway.
would want LSD to come standard though. Or at least, as part of an optional track package with nicer brakes.

cruise control doesn't add weight. maybe 2 grams, if anything.

true. it would be very nice to be able to use an accessport on this.

you're taking it too literally.

add lightness = remove weight = fancy materials/clever engineering
