You might have missed the Subaru stamps all over the car. Having owned several of each brand, the FR-S certainly has Subaru (lack of) build quality because it is largely a Subaru. I thrashed the hell out of my 2010 4Runner and it was perfect when I traded it in. Not a single rattle after 4 years of off-roading, stream crossing, and crossing the eastern continental divide in snow and ice. I missed it so much that I bought another one.
