I have the same issue with the Tomei UEL, SME op, Nameless HF catted FP with helmholtz, and Namelees AB with 4" resonators.
Sounded great when OEM headers but WAY too loud with the Tomei. Had to resort to refitting OEM AB.
Not 100% happy with the tone/note, sounds kind of metallic thanks to the helmholtz, but a least I don't fear being put off the road every time I pass a police car. Still has some rumble but volume is much reduced.
With a tune performance seems every bit as good as the Nameless.
Put your OEM back on if you can till you can find a fix and at least you won't have a continual headache.
What's the actual OD of the OEM midpipe 2.25" or 2.5".

Its been a few days now and it sounds much better. Its still loud but it doesnt have that annoying tone to it so my only problem atm is the cold start
