I agree completely with @MaudDib, if you're willing to drop down to an ultra high performance all-season tire, the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is about as good as it gets.

If you're looking for a more direct comparison to the Pilot Super Sport and run an 18" wheel (tire sizes are still very limited), you may want to look at the new Pilot Sport 4s. It may not directly address your issue with ride comfort, but should be superior to the Pilot Super Sport in virtually every way. I'm a Michelin fan-boy, so I had to throw it out there.
