THAT is the point they were making. You had a latent defect and it revealed itself while still under warranty rather than after.


So now you will have a car with 65,000 miles and a brand new engine.
I would rather have that than a car with 65,000 miles and a latent defect that could surface at any time.
This is starting to sound like that old "Fortunately... Unfortunately" joke.
