People have a habit of skipping gears with this transmission and that beats the hell out of syncros.

Well I could just be very paranoid. I had a friend drive it and he said it's good but it just feels a little warn in compared to a new one. When I first got the car third gear would feel crunchy some times so I wanted to get rid of the crunch so I changed the fluid and I think it made it crunch a bit more often but when it's smooth it's smoother than before.
I used to skip from 4th to 6th for high way or coasting driving but I only did that the first two days then settled into the habit of rowing through all the gears.
