I've been quoted an MSRP above the regular MSRP for my Series.Yellow, and I imagine it's because options were added (still waiting to hear back from my dealer to clarify this). Out of curiosity, should a customer still have some say in this process if the car was intended to be for them? Just looking to see how "liable" I might be for the cost of items I didn't specifically ask for when it's time to see the dealer. Thanks in advance!

When it comes to allocation, neither you or the dealership have any say in the accessories the car comes with. The Region/District management selects what accessories go on the car. Doesn't matter if it's a Special Edition or a Base Model Forester.
However, if you had reserved the car, the dealership can mark that car as a "Sold Order" and if that's the case, they can indeed remove or add accessories in your interest. The Sold Order window for an allocated car has a short time frame, and if you miss this window they can't change anything.
