No, OP used a much overused and usually wrong term to describe his need to have things perfect.
The vast majority of people that say "I have OCD" about their car are more likely really OCPD which is NOT the same thing even if some similar symptoms may overlap. Many could also be someplace on the lower levels of the autism spectrum.


Wanting a perfect paint job is not even close to OCD. Painting your car over and over and over even when it is already perfect would be.


I think I will become OCPD in correcting people that say they have OCD.
