Solid, love Radar Love and Darkest Hour!

Here are my top three to cruise around to.

The Rolling Stones - Midnight Rambler

I don't believe I will ever tire of this song, I think the tempo changes have a lot to do with that, there's an organic pulse to it - it does what every EDM song tries to do; connect! Live versions are ok - better in person to connect with the exploration. The studio is, in my opinion, perfectly condensed with the exact amount of improvised anticipation.

Their latest album Blue and Lonesome is astoundingly good.

Cave In - Big Riff

All of Jupiter is killer. It's one of the fewer albums that still, since High School, impresses me with every listen. It's the Millennial "prog-rock" and it's great. Deceptively simple writing that's in fact complicated and so well done. All the albums are good, the writing is good, the mixing is good, it's just good stuff.

I'm going to break rules here and do (2) #3's weather dependent.

The Out_Circuit - New Wine

This is PNW weather driving music but needs a decent space to hear it. It works best in a closed, tight acoustic space. Ya gotta let those sound waves redshift, ya know. Slow down the pace, let the mind wander. Another great Out Circuit track for that is Phantom City Skylines from Burn Your Scripts Boys album. Alternatively, Smashing Pumpkins Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness double disc works well, too.

DJ Shadow feat Run the Jewels - Nobody Speak

Clear summer night time for a cruise down the boulevard - time to feel cool. I'm a big RJD2 and Pharcyde fan actually any hip hop with musicality (J5, Ozomatli, Beastie Boys, Deltron 3030, Atmosphere, Handsome Boy Modeling School, etc.) is always a treat. I'm going with Nobody Speak over Social Distortion this time because its new to the rotation, its relevant and that music video is too fun. NSFW language warning!
