Yep. Had it towed back and they sorted it out today. Picked it up this evening and so far so good. Will keep an eye on it for leaks, and will give an update in a few months on how well the new pump is working. Hopefully, the crickets are gone for good with this new pump.

One thing that I find interesting with this second generation pump is the inclusion of a reduced fuel pump cam lift profile on the intake cam of the 2017 engines. Obviously, the 2017 ECM is designed with different fueling parameters to match the reduced fuel pump flow rate, but retrofitting the newer pump to the older engines means the new HPFP is operating with a more aggressive fuel pump cam profile, and consequently, at a higher output than the 2017 engines. This makes me wonder if the new pump design was optimized for use with the milder fuel pump cam profile, and using it with the 1st gen camshafts will result in lower pump life, or an eventual return of the crickets that would otherwise not appear in a 2017 engine.
