I was thinking of getting a kit and building one. All the local shops were sold out of everything so I might have missed the boat. It's going to be a bunch of legal hoops to get one after the 21st. It's actually the 31st but there is a 10 day waiting period.

I'm also California National Guard in a POG unit. They gave us a little over a thousand rounds to qualify an entire company. Which it's a small unit but still. It took me three tries to qualify. And when I did it was 35/40. It had been months since I touched an M4 and I was extremely embarrassed.
Well, now, Allch Chcar, first off, thank you serving in the CA National Guard ....

Yep, the way California is heading, they will soon be banning BB guns ....

Ain't nutten to be ashamed of by serving in a POG unit. The grunts that look down on support units, would be soon doing only bayonet and hand to hand fighting .... on an empty stomach .....

As far as qualifying on the M4 ...... I found out that it became harder and harder to qualify soldiers as the weapons "progressed".

Hell, back in the day, using the M1, I could qualify most of the soldiers in an Infantry unit, within a few hours, with the M14 it took longer, with the M16 even longer.

It was easier to qualify Officers. Why? Because we carried the same side arm from 1911 till I got out of the Army ....... and the targets were BIGGER .....
