They just passed a bunch of new laws banning simple features including bullet buttons and detachable magazines. Now anything with these features is considered an "assault weapon" in the state of California and requires registration. I don't have a personal M4 to practice with. I was thinking of getting a kit and building one. All the local shops were sold out of everything so I might have missed the boat. It's going to be a bunch of legal hoops to get one after the 21st. It's actually the 31st but there is a 10 day waiting period.

I'm also California National Guard in a POG unit. They gave us a little over a thousand rounds to qualify an entire company. Which it's a small unit but still. It took me three tries to qualify. And when I did it was 35/40. It had been months since I touched an M4 and I was extremely embarrassed.
