Sucked. But so did everybody else and anybody that says they could hit anything are lying. The sights were for decoration purposes and it was simply a point and spray. Now, they could be filled with mud, left in water for days and be run over and still work though.
They were also much easier to deal with in a truck then our service rifle at the time!
