I was doing some math on this system, and paired with stock, it is one of the most cost-effective ways to gain heat-resistance related gains on the 86/FRS/BRZ. The caliper piston fluid volume is not a huge increase over the stock and well within the capacities for the brake master, as well as electronic proprotioning/ABS/stability control system of the ZN6 chassis.

It isn't the true racing application system like those sold by Brembo, AP, Alcon, which are proven in years of racing, and these are lower-cost non-monoblock calipers commonly contracted for OEM use. As such it isn't going to be something to be commonly done on a true race car.
However, these are newer design than the Sumitomo supplied Brembo branded Subaru STI brakes, and are made with nicer caliper body with higher weight and density.

AS with any "CONVERSION" kits though, it does require very high-quality brake adapter kits and capable amount of precision labor. These CTS-V Brake Swap brand machined unit for the ATS-V to FRS kit is pretty good.
I do warn you that BRAKE SERVICE of ANY sort is a very system critical work, so if you are not too familiar with working with brakes, or have not done so in the past, no matter your mechanical expertise, to hire a second hand who is very knowledge in brakes. It is not just about hardware but there are many skills and know-how for brake lines and servicing of fluids that one would need to do it right. These are the only things that's going to help you stop a car so any faults in the system means you are playing with your life... Yes you can DIE if they stop working.
So heed warning, this is very critical work.

So that precaution aside. I can recommend it for those who are on a budget and thinking update the brakes. Keep in mind, for Sunday racing use such as autocross or casual track days like HPDE, the STOCK FRS/BRZ system works perfectly fine with pads upgraded to something good. This update is mainly suggested for those who just MUST have a BBK look, and to keep it just as effective as stock with a slight advantage.

$4000+ kits from Brembo/ALCON/AP are justified, and do perform better than these for sure. They are more rigid, and are designed and calibrated to be better, and are matched and proven on the track with each application.
No mistake there. Lets just say this is closer to stock in performance therefore.
With these ATS-V Brembo OEM swap, you will get ever so slightly more pedal stroke as fluid displacement for master cylinder will increase tiny bit. It will stop with slightly higher tenacity with lighter pedal pressure as pad surface as increased. Both of these parameters will change greatly with different types of pads, and that more than anything related to caliper swap really as the pad surface does not increase by a huge amount here. The swap will dissipate heat better than stock, since the rotors are larger. The rear brakes will work a little harder to stay in check with the bigger front, but well within capacity for most track use.

But like anything with FRS/BRZ it is ultimately the driver who makes or brakes a car, performance, and numbers it can put out. Also, keep in mind that all brakes must be tended and monitored with driver skill too. Cooking the brakes will make them fail or fade without skills of a driver to keep them effective in temperature and use, as well as excellent maintenance.
