Salesmen should really never give a certain day for delivery anyway. They should keep the dates wider to allow for delays or advances. My brother in law drives trucks delivering Dodges (apparently the Hellcat is a PITA to load by the way) and he says he get's screamed at daily by dealers that were expecting the car much sooner. The fact that it was held up someplace way up the line means nothing to them since he is the last person in the chain he takes the heat.

I watched the words of my salesman. He never said it WILL be delivered, or it WILL arrive. He's always said "Previous orders always arrived X days after we order cars, so I
think it will arrive on X day." or "It
should be delivered on X day." He never gave me a definitive, but people might have misconstrued "think" "should" "probably" "Estimated" as gospel
