Nah, can't say I've ever heard of it. I'll check it out though! The main thing with me and Final Cut is that over the last decade of usage, I've bought numerous plugins (some of which didn't even transfer to FCPX!) and tools, etc so I'm almost too invested in the ecosystem. It was an off-shoot of their old Pinnacle Liquid product which was their studio quality editing software that was pretty heavily used.
I'm not an expert video editor by any means, but I found it very easy to use and it has a lot of add-ins/features including in it at a very reasonable price (that has dropped substantially over the years). It has changed owners a couple of times, and I am a few versions behind so I can't really speak to their current version.
