Yeah I imagine a corporate TTV6 would be the hot ticket but who knows - I didn't think Toyota/Lexus would maintain a screaming V8 this long. I just read an interesting article by Eddie Alterman in the latest C&D which suggests with the new administration coming in (Trump is pro-business, obviously) we could see a stalwart by the the Big three lobbying the regulatory path of CAFE for 2025 to attain the 55 mpg average. Alterman suggests that may allow for for more adventurous up-sizing in engines and consumer preferences for bigger=better. But I'm not so sure it'll be as easy this time around especially with oil pricing volatility and global market pressures to homogenize product type which is likely supporting top line profits. In other words, I still think F/I will supplement displacement for the foreseeable automotive future. But EV tech, or more specifically manufacture IP leasing, will likely dwindle.

Maybe we'll get some more 5.0L+ engines back into the market place
