I have not found an under-seat woofer that would work, the subaru stock one for the trunk is about 6-700 installed and my local guy wants about 700 for his woofer in the trunk.

Any ideas on a cheaper way? As I said not looking for the best, just need some bass.

Also I listen to rock and alternative.

Thanks
The cheapest and fastest way is to get an all in one unit. As many people have mentioned Walmart is your best bet. Something under $300 or $200 will do the trick. A simple wiring kit the subwoofer combo and an hour later you'll have that low end sound you want.

You can YouTube how to wire the amp the car. That's what I did. Took me an hour or so.
