It's a discussion on how the movies aren't exactly as dumb as many people think when you really look at it. And the argument of this vs. anime was to try and relate it. To me it seems like because they seem like people in modern times then it doesnt matter if the antogonist is supernatural they should be able to deal with it. I think everyone can talk a tough game but the shock of dealing with the shit charactors deal with in horror films would freeze 95% of people in their tracks out of fear.
I thought my premise of a fictional situation would evoke a fictional reaction was pretty clear so I am glad at least one person understood where I was going with it.

Real world reactions to movie situations:
Horror - Run and hide or stand and fight. Probably die either way
Romantic comedy - Walk away from the guy/girl being a douche/bitch and never speak to them again
Action - Blown to bits in the opening sequence
Fantasy - Nothing since the genre name describes it all
Musical - Sent for counselling for breaking out in song and dance at any given moment
Sci Fi - See fantasy above
Historical - Nobody speaks English or any other language as known today

All in all make for some very boring and short movies.
