Yea, I would expect by now, the Z would bring more than current bids on this car:

Edit: 12-20-16. Sold Today 1973 Datsun 240Z for $25,500. This car would have cost around $4000. new. With inflation to 2016, that's about $22,261 in today's dollars. So it sold now for a little more than it's new car price.


Though surprised I am, what some Porsches from 60s to 80s are bringing right now...really seemingly big money.
