Don't think you could ever tell unless you sit inside a facelift BRZ in real life at night.
Any picture or video taken have metered light / exposure compensation which is adjusted either automatically or manually.
If you can't deal with white backlit at night then you probably either need to buy a pre-facelift BRZ or stick with Bimmers (I think they got it right with the all red).
