Does the drop-in-filter filter as well as oem? Best of luck finding information on this. It may be the drop-in-filter is high tech and removes as much particles as oem but who knows? It is also possible that less filtration only makes itself known after 200,000 kilometers. I am
suggesting filtration is inversely proportional to air flow. I am not saying you don't get a drop-in but you know, compromise.
You might like to get an used oil analysis done to see how the drop-in is working.
My car has only has 46,000 kms on the clock but has had 4 oem filter changes just because.
