You do not have to go to the dealer for maintenance. That's just another way they make money.
You have 3 options,
Do it yourself.
Take it to any general mechanic.
Let the dealership do it.
If your lucky and have the space and tools you can do every scheduled maintenance yourself.
If you don't want to pay dealership prices go to a general mechanic. They are far less cheaper.
Personally, I would only take it for warranty fixes. I can do pretty much everything. A quick YouTube vid can show you how to do most everything. However if your not mechanically inclined or not up to the task, take out your wallet and pay someone to do it for you.
