I plan on getting an FRS on my 22nd birthday come November. I will be a senior in college and i rent a home. I do however have a good paying job/internship in IT.
My father also will be asisting me somewhat, not because i'm spoiled, but because he's proud of me for good grades. I've been paying all my own bills since the beginning. I dont understand all the negativity? I've been in a car club and going to national gatherings since i was 10. Started racing at 16 (autocross, drags, and roadcourse). I honestly believe i'm a better driver than easily 3/4 of the US population, regardless of age. I'm a very defensive driver and always have been. I baby my 3000GT like its made of glass, and it shows in my driving. Why people instantly assume someone under 20 is incapable of being a good driver i don't understand.
Maybe I'm unique, but i don't like all the negativity towards someone because of their age.
On track though, everyone does have a point with money. I have my finances planned out for the most part. I'll be taking advantage of Scion's college grad program, getting $1000 off my car. I'm saving money, selling things i dont need, ect. I fell in love with the FRS and i need a car that i can rely on to get me places. My 3000GT is on its 3rd Automatic transmission and needs to go. I cant keep putting money into it. I want a car that is fun, good on gas, and is reliable. The Frs is that.
/Rant :P
