To follow up on post #36.

Of course, some people had more steps to prepare their car for driving.

@Tcoat , with his POS cars, had to add a quart of oil, pump up at least one tire, add water/alcohol to the leaking radiator, along with some more oatmeal, prime the carb with a squirt of gas, dry out the distributor cap and then jump the dead battery. After a couple of backfires, he was off .....

@Ultramaroon, down on the farm, had a few additional steps. Unstick the barn door, shush the chickens off the top, clean the pigeon poop off the windshield, get the cat out of the engine bay, sweep the rats nest off the front seat, find the nail he used for a key then pull up to the tractor gas tank and pump a couple of gallons, slide the piece of plywood back over the hole in the floorboard and then he was ready to go ......
