Not a put down and I am well aware of what special editions we have had (although I would argue the Monogram was a trim level not a special edition).


I laughed because ichi posted this over in random early yesterday and my very first thought and comment was "I wonder how long before the rumour starts that this is the next special edition". I even said something close to what you did. We are just standing by for motoring.au to state that an unnamed source has announced that this is the 2017 Special Edition for the US. It may very well be but at this point there is nothing to indicate that it isn't yet another Japan only version to add to the long list of ones they already have. Time will tell and there is no doubt they will eventually offer the PP on the 86 but that will probably (see I speculate as well) be across the board for all colours not restricted to one special one.
