"Puff" of air when blipping throttle

Hey all! JUst got my 2013 BRZ a few days ago. She runs great. Had it checked over by my mechanic and he found nothing glaring. He drove it too and it all checked out.

I've been noticing that when I blip the throttle on downshifts or when I blip it in idle, there seems to be this puff of air noise that occurs a split second before the RPMs rev up. It's almost like a very quick and slight hesitation or something. Hard to describe it without actually being able to hear it in person unfortunately.
It's worth mentioning that the previous owner had a complete header back exhaust with a tune before I bought the car. When I bought the car he put a new stock header back system back on and flashed the ECU back to stock (he was running a tune with his aftermarket set up). Also, the car still has the Perrin inlet hose on it right now

The car runs great, no loss of horsepower, It feels every bit as fast, if not faster than my buddies' totally stock 13' BRZ.

Is this a cause for concern? Could the car be running lean? Really not sure what to do. Thanks!
