This past weekend was the annual Imports Vs Domestics World Cup Finals Race at MDIR in Budd's Creek, Maryland. The track is always the stickiest of the year and the air density is amazing for high horsepower!
We entered our Drag 2JZ FRS into the True Street Class. For those that care to know, the rules for the class for our setup are:
For Cars that are 6 Cylinder, Automatic Trans, and Turbo
3300 lbs Minimum Weight (We had to add 200lbs of Weight this year)
67mm Turbo
NO NITROUS
No cutting of chassis/frame rails
Must Utilize stock suspension and mounting points
28 Tire Max size or 275 Radial
Full Interior
We started the weekend with an 8.35 @ 164mph in practice!
We had some issues breaking axles but managed to Qualify Number 1 in the class with an 8.38 @ 166mph
We also had our best 60 ft time ever of 1.21 seconds!
