Ya know, maybe it's just the nature of the damn thing. Just like the heat shields around the manifold "tink" while cooling down. .......
I wonder if there are any baffles on the inside of the mufflers ... ??

PS - Bubba has another idea ....... when the exhaust is really hot ...... hit it with cold water ...... maybe whatever is making the noise will ...... SNAP ......
