Hah, this thread got way over-complicated.

@trigun286 - The e-brake switch under the e-brake is what controls this. When the e-brake is up, the switch is depressed. Pressing this switch down (e-brake down position) activates the DRL's, and turns off the parking brake warning light on your dash.

Pop off your e-brake boot cover (use both hands, pull firmly straight up), and locate the e-brake switch. I don't have a picture, but its pretty obvious. Unplug the switch and re-install your cover. The DRL's, and boomerangs if using the Always-On harness, will now be on at all times even with the parking brake engaged. Yes, removing switch harness is the easy "hack" you're looking for.

The only side-effect I've noticed to this is the e-brake warning light will no longer illuminate when your parking brake is up... for obvious reasons. So if you rely on your dash to remind you to put your parking brake down before moving, good luck?
