To me those ripples look like somebody came by and decided to kick that panel or some other act of vandalism. Had it happen too many times already on my car.

It's hard to imagine someone purposely kicking it but leaving such light dents thats almost undetectable. Besides if you're leaning on it I'd imagine you wear pants lol so you might not feel the heat. Either way just look out and you'll narrow it down
