New to manuals? Or driving in general? Most people would probably keep their foot on the brake pedal.
In all reality, if you're doing this and not keeping your foot on the brake pedal your brake lights aren't on either. So even if there is a person stopped behind you you're relying on them to keep their foot on the brake to warn another person of stopped traffic. Just not a good idea all around. The morning commute to work is not the time to be a lazy driver IMO.
