I'm on 255/35 on 18x9.5 +35 -2.7 camber and my bumper tabs don't exist anymore. I'm probably lowered about 2 inches.
Compared to your setup, you gain 10mm from the offset but lose 5mm(10mm/2) from the tire. I'd say you will rub.

Car is bone stock, will not be lowering until early summer 2017.

Question 1: Will it fit stock suspension? No rubs at full lock?
Question 2: Will it fit after 1 inch drop come summer time? (Eibach Pro Kits)
1. Not all cars are the same, but you will have about 3-8mm of clearance to the strut or less. A 3-5mm spacer would help.
2. When you drop it, the car will gain camber. That would reduce the clearance. You won't really know until you try it, but it will be less than the 3-8mm mentioned above. I personally wouldn't risk damaging the wheels or getting into a sticky situation. 9.5's don't fit good on stock struts, they either poke or rub or are dangerously close. A 3-5mm spacer would help.

245/40's are for 17's. 40 series is for 225 or 235 on 18's.
245/35 is a much better choice. On 18's you will be a full inch taller than stock.

Would 235/45/17 or 235/40/17 be better??
Look up the tire you plan to buy and compare it to the stock tire, which is 24.6 diameter(24.7 in other brands). 235/40 is closer to stock, but slightly smaller. 235/45 is a tad tall, but do'able, it's a wrx size. I like a 25inch tire, I'd personally go 245/40(grip) or 225/45(comfort) and lastly 235/40 for a tiny acceleration gain. Depending on the tire and your goals...

245/40 will fit. Chance you might need a 3-5mm spacer up front due to camber and not all cars are made the same, we are talking a few mm here, maybe about 10mm clearance? Depending on how much clearance you are willing to accept.
